Youth Ministries at PLC

The Youth Ministry at PLC is a Jesus-centered community welcoming all students. We foster belonging and create spaces for faith exploration, friendship formation, and spiritual growth. Through activities and service, we help students discover their gifts and deepen their relationship with Christ. Every individual is valued and invited to join us.

Identity | High School Youth

Identity is the High School ministry at PLC. We desire for youth to be connected to Jesus and to one another.

Spaces

  • Come hang out with friends, engage in worship, and learn about God and Jesus! We start at 7 pm and end at 9:30. We can't wait to see you!

  • On Sunday mornings, all high school and middle school students are invited for a fellowship hour from 10-11 am in the Youth Room. Let’s connect with one another before launching back into another school week.

Events

  • Summer Camp is a life-changing week that allows students to remove distractions from their lives and connect with God and our community! Hume does an amazing job of focusing the entire week on God and growing a relationship with Him. It is the highlight of our youth ministry each year.

  • C-MENT (Christian Musical Enrichment Theater) is the youth drama group at Peñasquitos Lutheran Church. It helps young performers grow in their Christian faith while developing musical theater skills. You do not need to be a church member or have prior experience to join! Everyone who auditions will be invited to be part of the cast and will have fun. Non-actors can also learn valuable behind-the-scenes skills like sound, lighting, set design, and costuming.

Each year students currently in 6th-12th grade can participate in the Summer production.

Ignite | Middle School Youth

Life isn't meant to be lived alone. Especially during these pivotal middle school years, it is as important as ever for our students to be surrounded by friends and mentors who love them and point them to Jesus. Ignite is the place for your 6th-8th grader to build their faith and develop lifelong community.

Spaces

  • Ignite is our exciting youth group for middle school students at PLC! Every Monday from 6-8 pm, we play games, worship together, and learn more about following Jesus with one another. It is the perfect space for students to escape the stress of school and extra-curriculars in a faith-focused community.
