Vision, Mission, and Values
Vision
is who God is calling us to become. We know we can’t get there on our own, but with God’s guidance and power, the impossible becomes possible.
“To be a lighthouse shining God’s transforming love to our families, neighborhood, city, nation, and world.”
Mission
is where we roll up our sleeves and get to work—turning God’s vision into action, one faithful step at a time.
“Connecting people to Jesus and to one another”
Values
are our compass, keeping us focused on moving in the right direction as we turn our mission into a movement.
-
We’re all about tradition—when it helps us push the mission of our church forward, we’re all in. But when it starts to feel like a barrier between God and His people, we’re ready to knock it down (John 2:13-22, Matthew 23:13-36, John 9:1-41). Jesus stays the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), but how we spread the Good News must be communicated effectively in a changing world (Mark 2:21-22). So whether it’s old-school or cutting-edge, our worship and ministry offer something for everyone. And we’re always keeping an eye out for the next wave of innovation the Holy Spirit’s sending our way (Psalm 146-150, Acts 2:1-42)— all for the sake of the mission!

Jesus is at the center of everything we do—inspiring us to love, serve, and reach out to those in need with humility and grace. But while we are fully committed to following Him, we’re not afraid to laugh at ourselves along the way. Faith doesn’t mean perfection; it means walking in the light of Christ while embracing our own humanity, quirks and all. In our church, we recognize that joy and humility go hand-in-hand and that sometimes the best way to reflect God’s love is with a smile, a laugh, and an open heart (Nehemiah 8:10, Psalm 30:11, John 15:11). After all, we’re all on this journey together—learning, growing, and allowing grace to lead us forward.

We believe the Holy Spirit is alive and active, weaving through our lives in subtle and spectacular ways. Sometimes, it’s in the quiet whisper of peace during prayer, and other times it’s in the undeniable surge of joy or conviction that moves us to act. Whether through a nudge to help a neighbor, an inspiration to pray, or a call to serve, the Spirit shapes our community, uniting us in purpose and passion. We believe that when we invite the Spirit to move, miracles happen: hearts are healed, lives are transformed, and together, we grow into a powerful force for good (Romans 15:13).
-
Welcoming others is more than a friendly handshake or a smile—it’s about building a community where everyone feels seen, known, and valued. We strive to create spaces where the warmth of our faith extends beyond our walls, inviting newcomers and long-time members alike to find a safe place and connection (Romans 12:13). From our open doors to shared meals, from encouraging conversations to helping hands, every act of welcome reflects the love and grace we seek to express. Hospitality isn’t just a value; it’s the heart of our mission, turning strangers into friends, and friends into family.
-
Many believe in Jesus because someone invited us to “come and see” (John 1:46). If we don’t invite others, how will they know of the transforming love of God for themselves? The risk of an awkward moment or fear of rejection is worth the potential outcome for someone to be invited to meet Jesus through our church.

Our journey of faith is never over. We avoid the trap of believing there is nothing more to learn about God or that we’ve “leveled up” to super-spiritual status (Philippians 3:13-14, Ephesians 4:12-14). Instead, we continuously explore, question, and deepen our understanding, regardless of age or experience (Psalm 119:105). In our church, we believe faith is not a destination but a lifelong journey that continually renews us and binds us together in a shared purpose. As we deepen our faith and open our hearts and minds to God, we give of ourselves and our resources to support God’s vision and mission—willingly and with joy (2 Corinthians 9:7).
